Redefined Threads: Liverpool’s 2025/26 Kits Set a New Standard

The first thing you notice about this shirt is the cream “Wonder White” base colour. It has a slightly vintage tone that instantly makes the shirt feel more premium and distinctive. In a season where many kits go for loud graphics or bright colours, this one feels refreshingly understated. It’s clean, classy, and still unmistakably Liverpool.
The red sponsor and Adidas logo stand out nicely against the cream background, especially when combined with the iconic three stripes running down the sleeves. Another interesting feature of the kit is the crimson red panel that runs underneath the sleeves and along the side of the shirt, which adds a bit more colour and contrast to the overall design.
The standout feature of the shirt is definitely the new shield-style crest. Instead of the standard Liver Bird badge, the bird sits inside a shield inspired by the original Main Stand at Anfield. This gives the shirt a slightly more historic feel while still keeping the design modern.
The V-neck collar and slim fit help the shirt look modern, while the simple colour palette makes it easy to wear casually as well as on match days. The kit clearly isn’t trying to be the boldest design of the year, which makes sense, but that also makes it harder for me to rank it above the classic home shirt and the third kit.
Because of this, I would rank this last out of the three Liverpool F.C. kits for the 2025/26 season.
Liverpool Home shirt 2025/26 - adidas - 2nd place
The 2025/26 home shirt marks a big moment for Liverpool F.C. because it marks the return of Adidas as the club’s kit manufacturer, starting a new era after several years with Nike. The design is intentionally simple and nostalgic, taking inspiration from classic Adidas Liverpool shirts from the mid-2000s.
The famous Liver Bird appears in white on the chest, giving the shirt a clean and traditional look. On the back of the collar there is also a “97” emblem with the eternal flames, which honours the victims of the Hillsborough disaster. This is a very meaningful tribute and helps keep the shirt connected to the club’s history and identity.
Like most modern Adidas kits, the shirt is made with lightweight performance fabrics designed to keep players cool while also being comfortable for fans to wear. The classic Liverpool look means this kit will probably be popular with supporters, and the clean design is definitely a positive.
However, the minimalist approach also makes it a little harder to praise the kit too much. Like many home shirts nowadays, it is very similar to previous Liverpool kits over the years. Because of this, I would rank it second out of the three Liverpool kits for the 2025/26 season.

The first thing that stands out about this third kit for Liverpool F.C. is the deep green colour. Liverpool don’t often use green for their main kits, which is why it’s usually reserved for third shirts. The green tone gives the kit a fresh and modern look, while the white details complement the colour really well.
One of the most interesting features of this shirt is the use of the Adidas trefoil logo instead of the modern Adidas performance logo. This small detail gives the shirt a vintage feel, even though the materials and fit are completely modern. It creates a really nice balance between retro inspiration and modern design, which is one of the reasons the kit stands out so much.
The white collar and sleeve cuffs with thin black striping are another deliberate design feature. Because the shirt is mainly a solid green colour, the white trim helps break up the design and stops it from looking too plain. Striped cuffs and collars are also commonly used on retro-inspired kits, which helps reinforce the throwback style created by the trefoil logo.
For me, this is the best of the three kits Liverpool have produced this season. In fact, it’s also one of my favourite kits across the Premier League this year. Overall, it’s a beautiful strip and definitely the standout among Liverpool’s kits this season. It’s also one I’d happily add to my gift list.
